Classes We Offer
We have many different options available at the studio to accommodate your Pilates needs. To begin your Pilates journey with us, it is recommended that you start with our starter pack to allow us to assess your individual needs and teach you the important fundamentals of the Pilates method. If you have been practising Pilates already we still recommend one private session with our trainers before commencing. We will recommend you do studio classes or group class.
Initial Consultation and Private Sessions
Most sessions or classes will require you to attend an Initial Consultation first to prepare you to enter into classes or studio sessions. The Initial Consulation is a one hour session and includes reviewing your goals, a postural assessment, developing your tailored Pilates program and then learning the Pilates methodology.
An Initial Consultation is recommended for anyone who is new to Pilates, suffering from any injuries or health conditions or has not been practicing Pilates for a while and would like to review the important fundamentals of the practice. Private sessions are one on one with an instructor and involve a combination of Mat based exercises and the use of the Pilates machines to address your specific goals and needs.
Studio Pilates classes are personalised sessions utilizing the equipment and Mat repertoire. Each person is guided through your own individual program designed for your specific goals. A studio session is ideal for anyone starting there Pilates journey, who has injuries or specific goals. Studio sessions are by appointment only.
Bodiline Pilates offers the following studio sessions:
- Studio session: Each class has a maximum of only four clients per instructor to ensure a high level of guidance and feedback.
- Duet class: Bring a friend along to share the Pilates experience together. No more than two clients per teacher.
- Private class: private one-on-one class with instructor.
Group Barre and Mat Classes
Traditional Mat Classes
This class involves a series of classical Pilates exercises performed on a mat focusing on breath, core conditioning, and body awareness. Different props – including foam rollers, therabands, weighted balls, the Pilates ring, and more – may be used to add challenge or assistance throughout the class. Whether you’re a beginner or expert practitioner, this mat workout will strengthen the core, tone the hips and thighs, and lengthen the body giving you an all over body work out.
Barre incorporates elements of Dance, Ballet and Pilates accompanied by music to create a fun, high energy workout that strengthens, lengthens and tones the body.
This class will really awaken all your postural muscles and your powerhouse by combining the traditional standing Fletcher towel work and Pilates Mat work. The class begins with 30 minutes of Fletcher Towel and then 30 minutes of traditional Mat repertoire. You are welcome to attend just the Mat or Fletcher sections of the class.
Post Natal Pilates
Our Post Natal mums and bubs Pilates is a great way to start back exercising after pregnancy. The class will help you to strengthen your pelvic floor and abdominals, stretch and strengthen your back to ease the aches and pains from breastfeeding and carrying your little one and get you back exercising safely. It is also a great way to meet other mums and there bubs. You must be at least 6 weeks post partum before commencing the class. You may be required to obtain a clearance from your GP to commence the class.
This class utilising the braided Fletcher Towel and percussive breath. This standing orientated workout improves postural alignment and works shoulder girdle stability perfect after or before a day of work to correct the poor postures we find ourselves in during our busy days.
This class awakens your postural muscles and gets the heart pumping. The class begins with 30 minutes of the standing Fletcher towel series to release and mobilise the body and then the tempo increases with 30 minutes of Barre to get the heart pumping and the muscles burning. The perfect all body workout. You are welcome to attend just the Fletcher or Barre sections of this class.
Combining the powerhouse conditioning from the traditional mat repertoire and the cardiovascular workout of Barre this class is great to burn calories and lengthen and tone the body/ The class begins with 30 minutes of Pilates and Mat and then 30 minutes of Barre. You are welcome to attend just the Mat or Barre sections of the class.
Chi Running/Walking Group
(subject to availability)
30 mins run/walk, 30 mins Pilates/Stretch and release. This class is perfect for anyone who is new to running and would like to learn to run properly or who needs a little extra motivation to get out of bed for that morning.
Group Equipment Classes utilise a combination of the Wunda Chair, Reformer, Jumpboard, Magic Circle, Spine Corrector and Mat Repertoire. Like our Mat Classes, clients perform the same workout guided by the instructor with modifications/progressions/regressions provided where necessary.
The pace, flow and combination of equipment used in this class provides a challenging and holistic workout. This class has a maximum of 10 clients per class and bookings are essential.
